This course provides the basic knowledge for using QGIS within civil aviation, enhancing and improving workflows either by using QGIS exclusively or for processing data that will later be used in other external tools.

You will learn how to extract, transform, and load (ETL) different datasets for aviation purposes, including the creation of print templates and the use of web maps.

The course provides the essential knowledge on the use of QGIS for Instrument Flight Procedure Design (PANS-OPS) to augment and improve workflows either for analysis using a GIS or to preprocess data to be used in an automation tool specifically designed for PANS OPS. You will learn how to extract, transform, and load different types of data for aeronautical purposes including a simple print layout.
